Academic Complaints
Common academic complaints may include issues with the course, instructor, or grades. Most student complaints about academic issues are best resolved by contacting your instructor about specific problems that have arisen. If the issue is not addressed through communication with your instructor, then it is best to contact the department for the course in question using the contact information below to discuss the issue with the program director.
If you are unable to resolve the issue after discussing it with the program director, you can consult the procedures in the Student Grievance Procedures policy or the policy on Arbitrary and Capricious Grading. Be aware that each policy requires that certain steps be taken within specific deadlines. You may contact the Office of Academic Integrity and Accountability for assistance after you have made efforts to resolve the issue with the instructor and program director.
