Jacob Blythe
UMGC Asia Undergraduate Alternate
Jacob Blythe is a 12-year active duty Air Force member currently assigned to Kadena Air Base located in Okinawa, Japan. Jacob has spent much of life moving, but he proudly calls Arkansas home. In the Air Force, Jacob is KC-135 Production Superintendent, where he is responsible for assigning maintenance priorities to 208 technicians in sortie generation efforts on 15 assigned aircraft. Across his time in the service, Jacob has previously been stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana and has deployed in support of Operations Inherent Resolve, Freedom’s Sentinel, and Continuous Bomber Presence.
Jacob is currently pursuing his degree in management studies in his effort to continuously grow his leadership skills. When not at work or school, he spends his time scuba diving, hiking, working out, and playing video games with his wife, Chelsea. His desire to be a member of the Student Advisory Council is rooted in his goal of providing a voice for current and future students across the world.
