UMGC Stateside Undergraduate Representative
Alisha Griffin is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), with a long-term goal of becoming a licensed therapist who specializes in emotional healing, trauma recovery, and holistic mental health care. As a passionate advocate for personal development and community support, Alisha is committed to using her voice to uplift others and create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered.
In addition to her academic journey, Alisha has supported youth programming, customer service, and peer mentorship across various roles. Her work with neurodivergent youth and underserved communities has shaped her grounded, empathetic approach to leadership.
A proud Baltimore native and dedicated mother, Alisha draws inspiration from both her personal and professional life. She is actively involved in mental health awareness, self-healing education, and spiritual wellness. Outside of school and work, she enjoys cooking soulful meals for her family, designing educational materials for children, and exploring holistic wellness practices.
Alisha is honored to be selected for the Student Advisory Council at UMGC and looks forward to serving as a voice for her peers. She views this opportunity as a way to advocate for equity, student wellness, and meaningful change within the UMGC community.
