Follow the timeline to determine when to submit your paper for review by the Effective Writing Center.
You are welcome to submit your writing assignment at any stage in your writing process and at any time. The following timeline is meant as a guide in helping you budget your time wisely. You will probably need two to three days to read and absorb advice, and then to revise your paper accordingly. When planning your paper, build in time to use the EWC!
- Two weeks before the due date: Submit early drafts. You don't have to submit a "full" draft. Consider submitting your thesis statement, along with an introduction or outline.
- One week before the due date: Submit your rough draft.
- Four days before the due date: Submit your revised draft.
Please note that the EWC will return advice to you within 48 hours.
