If you're eligible for this scholarship for Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware residents, you could earn more than $9,000 toward a bachelor's degree.

If you're a Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware resident and have already earned at least 30 credits from another regionally accredited university or community college, you could earn more than $9,000 in scholarship funds toward a bachelor's degree at University of Maryland Global Campus thanks to the UMGC NE Tri-State Scholarship.1

The prior credits you've earned don't have to transfer to UMGC for you to be eligible for the scholarship. As long as you have earned these credits, meet the required criteria, and submit the required documentation, you are eligible.

Scholarship Details

How the Scholarship Works

You will begin receiving UMGC NE Tri-State Scholarship funding after you have successfully completed your first term at UMGC. The scholarship is awarded in increments based on the number of credits you have completed, with the award percentage per credit increasing at two specific points in your academic journey. You earn the award by completing credits, and the award is applied the following term.

Disbursement Details

  • You earn a 10 percent scholarship award per credit for terms in which you complete credits 1–60.
  • You earn a 20 percent scholarship award per credit for terms in which you complete credits 61–90.
  • You earn a 25 percent scholarship award per credit for terms in which you complete credits 91 and onward.

Please note the following:

  • If you earn credits 60 and 61 in the same term, that entire term's award will be calculated at 10 percent per credit, not 20 percent.
  • If you earn credits 90 and 91 in the same term, that entire term's award will be calculated at 20 percent per credit, not 25 percent.

Example

In the following table, we use "award earned" to determine when you meet the credit requirements for an award. The award is then applied to your student account for the next term.
