How to Apply for the Scholarship

  1. Complete the Conroy & Cryor Scholarship application. Applications and supporting documentation cannot be sent via email or postal mail.
  2. Apply by July 15 if you are seeking the scholarship for the following fall term. All application forms and supporting documentation must be received by this date to be considered. No late submissions will be accepted.

    Funding availability from MHEC is limited each year, and not all eligible students are guaranteed to receive funding.
 

How to Continue Receiving Your Award

Once your application has been approved, you do not need to apply again in subsequent years. If annual funding allows, you may continue to receive your award for up to five years of full-time study (12+ credits per term), eight years of part-time study (6-11 credits per term), or a combination of both. Due to annual funding limitations, not all previous recipients of the scholarship are guaranteed to receive funding in subsequent years, though renewals will be prioritized. 

Important Note

This scholarship is non-refundable, meaning it can only be applied directly to your student account to cover tuition and fee costs. If you are receiving other non-refundable sources of financial aid, you may not be eligible to receive all or part of your Conroy & Cryor Scholarship award.

Appealing Your Application Decision

If you believe your application for this scholarship program was denied in error, you may send an email to scholarships@umgc.edu with a signed, written statement describing why you feel the decision was made in error. 

Please note: If your application is approved based on your eligibility, but you do not receive funding due to annual funding limitations, an appeal cannot be considered.
