Degrees are awarded on the appropriate conferral date for the term.
All UMGC graduates receive both an electronic and paper diploma for each program completed when all balances due to the university have been satisfied.
UMGC's diploma vendor issues electronic diplomas via email approximately one week after the conferral date. Paper diplomas are mailed approximately 2-3 weeks after the conferral date.
Conferral dates can be reviewed on the graduation to-do list under "Receive Your Degree."
All UMGC graduates will receive an email confirmation after their credential has been awarded.
