Submitting Transcripts & Other Documents
You must submit verification of your eligibility for admission to UMGC before the end of the term following the term in which you are admitted.
You are required to submit an official high school transcript or documentation showing that you have the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma unless you are in one of the following student categories.
- You have not completed high school, but you earned at least 60 college-level credits or an associate’s degree
- For students applying to UMGC on or after March 30, 2020, you have earned at least 30 college-level credits; these credits can include military credits or standard exams like DSST, AP, and CLEP
Effective January 7, 2021: UMGC accepts the Joint Services Transcript and Community College of the Air Force transcripts as proof of high school graduation or equivalency. On a case-by-case basis, UMGC may accept other military service verification records as proof of high school graduation or equivalency. If you applied to UMGC prior to this policy going into effect and have questions about this requirement, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Effective October 28, 2021: If you graduated from a U.S regionally accredited or state-approved high school or completed a state high school equivalency exam (such as the GED), you may submit a UMGC-issued Attestation Form certifying your graduation from high school or completion of a high school equivalency exam. At any time, UMGC may require that you submit an official transcript or score report for audit or verification purposes. If you applied to UMGC prior to this policy going into effect and have questions about this requirement, please e-mail email@example.com.
