University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) invites you to attend our 2026 Military and Veteran Networking Event (MilVet Net), a no-cost event highlighting national, regional, and local support services available to military servicemembers, veterans, spouses, families, and caregivers.
Join us at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs), nonprofits, and employers will be available to meet with you and answer your questions. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to get professional headshots taken!

Event Details
- 3:30 p.m. — Attendee Check-In/Onsite Registration Opens
- 3:30–6:30 p.m. — Laura Hatcher Photography Complimentary Headshots (Sign Up Required)
- 3:45 p.m. — Chesapeake Ballroom Doors Open
- 4 p.m. — Official Start Time of Event
- 6 p.m. — Keynote Speaker, Dr. KC Castille
- 7 p.m. — Resume Writing Webinar (Hosted by UMGC Career Services)

Chat with VSOs and Other Organizations
- Services & resources: Several VSOs, organizations that offer resources for entrepreneurs, and employers will be on hand to meet with you and answer your questions.
- On-site workshops: Join us for on-site workshops covering topics such as veterans benefits, specific employers, and more.
- UMGC departments on-site: UMGC Alumni Services, Career Services and Community College Veterans Military Education Coordinators (CCV-MECs) will also be on-site for this event.
