How do I drop a course as a military student?

After reviewing the Course Withdrawal Policy, you can drop or withdraw from courses by following the steps below:

  1. Log in to MyUMGC
  2. Go to Class Schedule
  3. Select View All/Edit/Drop Classes
  4. Click Drop next to the course(s)
  5. Confirm the impact on TA, VA benefits, or financial aid
  6. Submit the drop/withdrawal.

Army TA users: Allow 24 hours for updates to appear in ArmyIgnitED.

Important: If you withdraw before 60% of a course is complete, UMGC must return a portion of your TA to your military branch. You will be responsible for any remaining balance.
