What is my annual loan limit for federal aid?

The amount of federal student loan money you can borrow each academic year depends on your grade level (like first-year or second-year undergraduate) and your course load (full-time, half-time, or less). These loan limits are set by the U.S. Department of Education and help make sure students borrow responsibly over time.

UMGC follows the federal annual loan limits for subsidized and unsubsidized Direct Loans. To see the current limits by grade level and dependency status, visit Federal Direct Loans.
