Cory Underwood

On August 20, we featured Cory Underwood, an impressive Assistant Principal at the Charles County Board of Education. He has 15 years in the education system, working hard to increase education standards for children in the Maryland school system through the introduction of technology. His career change is a reflection of his persistency to allow every child to succeed, which he has embodied throughout his career.

On September 3, we featured Carolyn and Immanuel Patton, a mother-son duo from Maryland, who graduated together from University of Maryland Global Campus in December 2022, fulfilling a promise Immanuel made at age five.
