Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect

Learn how to report suspected child abuse and neglect at UMGC.

University of Maryland Global Campus is committed to protecting the safety and welfare of children who come into contact with the institution community. Under Maryland law, there are mandatory reporting requirements for individuals who suspect child abuse or neglect. USM policy (USM Board of Regents VI-1.50 – Policy on the Reporting of Suspected Child Abuse & Neglect) provides guidance regarding the application of the Maryland law to USM institutions.
