Art and Influence: Works by Joseph Sheppard and His Prolific Protégés

An internationally celebrated Maryland artist, Sheppard taught painting and drawing at the Maryland Institute College of Art for 15 years. In so doing, he shaped the artistic careers of countless students, including those in this exhibition. A realist painter and sculptor, Sheppard has assembled a body of works that honor the realist art form and his teachings. The UMGC Arts Program is proud to introduce to our community these artists and their art.
