Graduate Transfer Credit Evaluation

Jump start your master's degree at UMGC with transfer credits.

At UMGC, you could be eligible to transfer up to 6 credits toward a master's degree or up to 3 credits toward a graduate certificate.

How It Works

First, you'll need to apply to UMGC. Once you've been accepted and are ready to start a graduate program, fill out the form below and upload a copy of the syllabus for each course you have taken at previous institutions.

Some exclusions apply. Transfer credit limitations are listed on each degree page.

To determine if you are eligible to waive
(6 Credits, DCL 600M);
(6 Credits, DCL 600T);
(6 Credits, PRO 600); or
(6 Credits, CBR 600), please refer to UMGC's Graduate Transfer Credit Evaluation and Appeal Policy and contact the First Term Experience department at firsttermcourses@umgc.edu.
