UMGC makes it easy to transfer credits toward your degree.

Transfer guidelines

• Associate degree: Transfer up to 45 credits; complete 15 credits at UMGC.
• Bachelor’s degree: Transfer up to 90 credits from four-year schools or 70 credits from two-year schools; complete 30 credits at UMGC.
• Eligible credits may include prior college coursework, military experience, certifications, professional courses, vocational/technical training, and some graduate or international study.

Credit evaluation

• Official evaluation: Completed in about 5–6 weeks after UMGC receives all transcripts.
• Unofficial estimate: Contact an Admissions Advisor.

1. Apply for admission.
2. Send official transcripts to UMGC.
