How long will it take to receive my award?
Important: Updates to federal financial aid have resulted in software and process changes that need to be completed to ensure the accurate processing of 2026–2027 financial aid. UMGC is actively working with our software providers and federal partners to complete testing and implement the required functionality as quickly as possible. At this time, we are not yet able to provide a confirmed disbursement date. We will continue to share updates as additional information becomes available.
It takes approximately 3 - 5 business days for financial aid documents to be received and updated in the system. It can then take up to 2 weeks for students to be awarded aid.
