How do I request an in-school loan deferment?

UMGC reports your enrollment status to the U.S. Department of Education every month through the National Student Clearinghouse, so in most cases, you don't need to request an in-school loan deferment if you're continuously enrolled.

If your lender needs proof of enrollment before the next update, you can request Enrollment Verification through your student portal.
