How do I register for classes?
If you are registering for your first class, please view Register for Your First Class. Otherwise, follow the steps below:
- Log into MyUMGC Student Portal
- Navigate to Class Search & Registration
- Click Search for Classes button
- A pop-up will appear - Let Us Guide Your Journey
- Select Let's Get Started
- Choose Start Date
- Select the date(s) you wish to start
- Click Next
- Select Class Format
- Choose Online or Onsite (a third option for the Virtual Synchronous format will appear for some students)
- If you select Onsite, select location(s)
- Click Next
- Select Subject and Class
- Choose Yes if you know the class you wish to take and follow the prompts to select the Subject and Course.
- Choose No, and you will have the option to select additional filters, such as Subject, Course, Credit Hours, and Days of the Week.
- Click Search
- Review results and click the drop-down arrow on the right side of each box for more details.
- Add a course to your planner, click Add to Planner, OR
- Register by clicking Add to Cart for the specific section of the class you want to take.
- Access your Shopping Cart from the top right corner.
- Select the desired semester and check the box next to the courses.
- Click Register for Classes button.
- Confirmation message will appear once complete.
Contact your Success Coach to help plan your first semester, choose a major, and register for, withdraw from, or drop a class.
