Do I need to reapply for scholarships each year at UMGC?
It depends on the type of scholarship. For most institutional scholarships, such as the Maryland Completion Scholarship, President's Grant, and President's Scholarship, you do not need to submit a new application each year.
For UMGC donor-funded scholarships, you do need to reapply annually. Eligible students are invited to complete the application in early spring through email and their MyUMGC portal checklist. These scholarships do not automatically renew, and applying does not guarantee an award.
Note: The Maryland Completion Scholarship automatically renews each semester as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.
