What is the President’s Grant and how do I qualify?

The President’s Grant at UMGC is a university-funded award given automatically when your financial aid is processed if you meet eligibility requirements. No separate application is required for this grant.

  • Amount: $700 per semester, with a maximum of $1,400 per academic year.
  • Eligibility: You must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours to qualify.
  • Award Period: It is awarded for the Fall and Spring semesters, or for Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters for 4-year graduate students.
  • Automatic Disbursement: The grant will disburse once you reach the minimum enrollment of 3 credit hours.
