How do I stay on track during a Permanent Change of Station (PCS)?

Wherever you go, we're there with the support and resources you need. Follow these simple steps to stay on track during your change of station, regardless if the change is permanent or temporary:

  • Update Information Early: Update your location through the student portal or contact a Student Success Network member to ensure continued support.
  • Plan Ahead: Download course materials and schedule coursework in advance to accommodate your move.
  • Advising Transition: Seamlessly transition to a new advisor at your next duty station for ongoing support. Contact us at 800-888-8682, email studentsfirst@umgc.edu, or visit our Find an Advisor webpage for assistance. 
  • Ask for Help: Our UMGC staff understands military life and can provide guidance.
  • Stay Engaged: Participate in discussion boards and connect with your instructor and classmates to maintain progress in your courses

Note: If you need to take a short pause in your studies during this time, reach out to a Student Success Network member who will help you plan your schedule and stay on track.
