How can I obtain an honor cord, sash, or stole from my honor society?
Some honor society chapters at UMGC will mail graduation regalia to students once they join, or will give students the option of purchasing the regalia when they join. Others may require students to purchase the graduation regalia on their own. To find out the specifics for the honor society you joined, contact the chapter directly. Contact the honor society chapter at least one month before Grad Walk or your graduation ceremony to ensure timely delivery of any cords or other accessories you are entitled to wear.
Please note that Commencement Services does not provide honor cords or other accessories for honor societies, so communications should be directed to the honor society chapters directly.
