How do I get the 50% tuition waiver for the Maryland National Guard?
If you’re an undergraduate student in the Maryland National Guard, you may qualify for a 50% tuition waiver at UMGC.
To apply
- Request a signed waiver form from your commander (UMGC does not provide this form).
- Email the completed form and one of the following documents to mdng@umgc.edu
- Proof of service
- Enlistment contract
- Tuition Assistance (TA) form with ETS listed
- Recent Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) with ETS or EAS
Important
- Waivers cannot be applied retroactively.
- Only stateside undergraduate students are eligible (not graduate or overseas students).
- Once processed, UMGC will adjust your account—be sure to pay any remaining balance.
