How do I copy and paste in Lab Broker’s Virtual Lab (Windows)?

Note: Your lab environment and applications are customized for your course. This feature may not be available in all lab environments.

Copy files from the virtual lab

  1. Go to https://vdi.umgc.edu and sign in to your UMGC virtual environment.
  2. Open Lab Broker from Cyber Programs.
  3. If needed, allocate your lab computer before continuing.
  4. Connect to a Windows computer.
  5. If the Open Windows PowerShell prompt appears, select the checkbox and click Open Windows PowerShell to prevent the message from appearing again.
  6. Follow the Remote Desktop (RDP) prompts to connect.
  7. Sign in using your StudentFirst credentials.
  8. Arrange the Windows lab and Desktop windows side by side.
  9. Right-click the file you want to transfer and select Copy.
  10. In the Desktop folder, right-click and select Paste.

Tips

  • Select multiple files to copy them at the same time.
  • For many files, consider creating a ZIP file and copying it in a single transfer.
