How do I install the Workspace App for Virtual Desktop (VDA) labs and applications?
Installing Citrix Workspace App for Windows

Download the latest Workspace app from Citrix for Windows.

Click "Download Citrix Workspace app for Windows"

If prompted by your browser, select Save File. When the download is complete, open the file.

If your device asks for administrator rights to install the software, click Yes to accept.

In the "Welcome to Citrix Workspace" dialog, click Start.

Accept the license agreement by checking the box, then click Next.

On the App Protection dialog, click Install.

When you see "Installation successful", click Add Account.

On the Welcome to Citrix Workspace screen, enter: labs.umgc.edu and click Connect.

Click Continue and sign in using your UMGC Faculty/Student credentials.

Some applications may add desktop icons. If you want to remove them, open Workspace and click the star in each application to remove it as a favorite (this will remove the desktop icon if it was created).

You're all set! You can now use the Workspace App for your UMGC courses in the Virtual Lab environment.
Installing Citrix Workspace App for Mac OS

Open a web browser and go to Citrix for Mac.

Click "Download Citrix Workspace app for Mac."

Once the download finishes, locate the file (CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg) in your downloads and open it.

Double click" Install Citrix Workspace."

If you're notified a program needs to run to determine installation, click Allow.

In the installer's introduction, click Continue.

On the Software License Agreement page, click Continue.

Click Agree to accept the license agreement.

Keep the default installation location and click Install.

If prompted, enter your Mac admin credentials.

Check the box to Add Account.

Click Continue.

Once installation is successful, click Close.

When prompted, click Move to Trash.

Citrix Workspace will open. A popup will ask you to add an account. Enter: labs.umgc.edu and click Connect.

Click Continue and sign in with your UMGC Faculty/Student credentials.

As on Windows, some applications may add desktop icons. If you prefer to remove these, open Workspace and click the star in each application to remove it as a favorite.

You're finished! You're ready to use Citrix Workspace App to access your UMGC Virtual Lab environment for your courses.
