Why is there a hold on my account?

Holds may be placed on your account for various reasons, such as:

  • Overdue balances
  • Academic warnings or probation
  • Missing transcripts

To remove a hold, you will need to resolve the issue causing it (e.g., pay your bill or submit missing transcripts). To check if there is a hold on your account, log in to MyUMGC and visit the Holds section.
