What are the eligibility requirements for graduating with honors?
Graduation honors are awarded only to bachelor's degree recipients.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a bachelor's degree candidate
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.800
- Must have completed at least 30 credits at UMGC
- For a second bachelor's degree, an additional 30 new UMGC credits and the required GPA are needed
Honors Designations
- Cum Laude: GPA 3.800-3.900
- Magna Cum Laude: GPA 3.901-3.999
- Summa Cum Laude: GPA 4.000
