What is an FSA ID and why do I need one?
Your FSA ID is a username and password you use to log in to federal student aid websites. It acts as your legal signature and lets you:
- Fill out and sign the FAFSA
- Apply for federal student loans and repayment plans
- Access your aid history
Notes:
- One parent will also need an FSA ID if you're a dependent student.
- You'll need your Social Security number (SSN) (if applicable) and your own email address to create an FSA ID.
