How do I create a quiz in LEO?

You can build quizzes in LEO using new or existing questions. Follow these steps to create one.

Create a quiz

  1. Open your course in LEO.
  2. Select Activities and Assessments → Quizzes.
  3. Select New Quiz to open the Quiz Edit page.
  4. Enter a Quiz Title.
  5. Under Grade Out Of, choose a category to place the quiz in the correct grade group.
  6. Add a due date to notify students when the quiz is expected.

Add or import questions

  1. Select Create New to build new questions.
    • Choose New Question, then pick a type (Multiple Choice, True or False, Written Response, etc.).
    • Enter your question, Preview, then Save.
  2. To add existing questions, select Add Existing.
    • Choose Question Pool to pull from your question library.
    • Select your questions and choose Import.

Finish your quiz

  1. Select Save, Save and New, or Save and Copy.
  2. Choose Preview to view the quiz as a student.
  3. Adjust optional settings such as Availability Dates, Special Access, Time Limits, Attempts, and Evaluation & Feedback.
  4. To make the quiz visible, toggle the eye icon near Save and Close.
  5. Select Save and Close when finished.
