Do I need to repeat a course?
You may need to repeat a course to meet program requirements.
Undergraduate students
- Major and minor courses must be completed with a C or higher.
Graduate students
- You must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Some programs allow a C as the lowest passing grade, but it may affect your academic standing and require a repeat.
- Programs that do not allow a C require a final grade of B (Meets Performance Requirements – MP) or A (Exceeds Performance Requirements – EP) to move forward.
GPA impact
- The higher grade replaces the lower grade in your cumulative GPA.
- Both attempts appear on your academic record.
