How do I know if I am eligible for graduation honors?
We provide honor cords to bachelor’s degree recipients who qualify for cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude. Eligible students will receive their cords by mail from Commencement Services about one month before Grad Walk.
Eligibility Requirements
- Maintain a 3.8 GPA or higher.
- Complete at least 30 graded UMGC credits.
- Earn 30+ new UMGC credits with the required GPA for a second bachelor’s degree.
- Refer to your academic catalog for official policies on academic honors.
