What happens if I change schools during the financial aid year?
If you plan to transfer from UMGC to another school in the same financial aid year, your aid may need to be adjusted.
- Your Aid Was Not Accepted: Decline the offer in your MyUMGC student portal.
- Your Aid Was Accepted, Partially Disbursed, or Includes Grants/Scholarships: Submit a signed request by fax at 301-985-7462 or by submitting a ticket in our Help Center to cancel or adjust your aid.
Important: If you leave UMGC mid-term and cancel aid, you may owe funds back to UMGC. It's recommended to wait until the end of the term before transferring. Contact the Office of Financial Solutions or your Success Coach for assistance.
