How do I apply for my diploma and graduation?
At UMGC, graduation and commencement are different.
- Commencement: Includes UMGC’s in-person grad walk and online celebrations.
- Graduation: Refers to applying for your diploma and the graduation application review process that confirms you’ve earned your credential. (Applying for your diploma and applying for graduation are the same.)
How to Apply for Graduation/Diploma
- Log in to MyUMGC and go to the Graduation page.
- Submit the application form. Graduation applications must be submitted for each program you have completed.
- Pay the $50 fee by the deadline.
