What steps do I need to take for admission if I was educated abroad?

If you were educated in a country other than the United States, please follow the steps below to apply to UMGC:

  1. Apply Online: Submit your application and pay the fee.
  2. Evaluate International Credits: Use an approved agency for a course-by-course transcript evaluation.
  3. Prove English Proficiency: Submit TOEFL (71 iBT), IELTS (6), EIKEN (Pre-1), or Duolingo (95) scores if required.
  4. Submit Official Transcripts: Provide transcripts from all institutions attended.
  5. Explore Financial Aid: Complete FAFSA and review payment options.
  6. Register for Classes: Work with an advisor to enroll.
