How do I access one-on-one tutoring?
To access one-on-one tutoring:
- Log in to your UMGC course or the MyUMGC portal
- Click the Academic Support or Resources tab in the classroom or select Student Support in MyUMGC.
- Select Tutoring in the classroom, or Work with a Writing Tutor, or Work with a Subject Tutor in MyUMGC
- Choose a Tutoring Option:
- Connect with a Tutor Now: Select your subject and topic for instant help (Writing tutoring not available).
- Schedule a Tutoring Session: Choose a tutor type (UMGC Professional, Peer, or Tutor.com Professional), select date, time, and session length (minimum 30 minutes), and confirm your appointment (Writing tutoring available)
- Drop Off Your Work: Submit your work to receive written advice from a writing tutor within 12 hours, or use the AI Essay Review tool (Writing tutoring available)
- Ask LEO – AI Tutor Chatbot: Type your question for instant answers without using tutoring minutes
