About UMGC

Will Blosser is an active-duty Marine stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He grew up in McDonough, Georgia, and enlisted in the Marines to follow his family's tradition of military service. He is an aviation radar technician, operating and maintaining ground-based radar systems for air defense missions. In his six years of military service, the Marine Corps has taken him around the world and provided many opportunities.

For the past two years, Will has been pursuing a bachelor's degree in both Computer Networks and Cybersecurity and Computer Science. He spends his time working, studying, and volunteering around Okinawa. He has volunteered as a crisis counselor for Crisis Text Line, providing real-time support to those in dangerous situations. As a member of the Student Advisory Council, he hopes to bring a personal perspective on military life, so that he can help UMGC better serve active-duty servicemembers, veterans, and their families.
