FORGE CyberAI Clinic: Info for Organizations

Strengthen Your Cybersecurity & AI Readiness at No Cost

The FORGE CyberAI Clinic provides nonprofits, schools, small businesses, community health organizations, and other under-resourced organizations with access to professional-quality cybersecurity and AI readiness assessments at no cost. Through a faculty-supervised consulting model, University of Maryland Global Campus learners work directly with organizations to identify risks, evaluate current capabilities, and deliver actionable recommendations tailored to their needs.

Over the course of a 15-week engagement, participating organizations receive structured assessments informed by recognized industry frameworks and guided by experienced faculty. The result is practical insight into cybersecurity risks, AI readiness, and opportunities to strengthen organizational resilience without the financial barriers often associated with traditional consulting services.

Whether you're looking to better understand your cybersecurity needs, prepare for the adoption of AI technologies, or identify priorities for future investment, the FORGE CyberAI Clinic offers a unique opportunity to access meaningful expertise while helping prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Professional Cybersecurity Support. Meaningful Organizational Benefits.

Through faculty-supervised engagements, participating organizations receive practical insights, actionable recommendations, and valuable guidance to help strengthen their resilience in an evolving threat landscape.

Organizations: Work with the FORGE CyberAI Clinic

1

Complete a client interest form. UMGC will review and follow up on next steps and timing for your organization’s specific need.

2

UMGC will review the client interest form to determine if your organization is eligible to take part in the clinic. Organizations must meet the following baseline requirements:

  • Be a nonprofit; small business; public-sector or municipal entity; K-12 institution; or another documented under-resourced organization.
  • Have a designated point of contact who can commit approximately 18–24 hours over the 15-week engagement.
  • Are not currently receiving equivalent paid consulting services for the same scope of work.
  • Request work that aligns with an existing clinic project track or a reasonable adjacent project area.
3

Once approved, your organization will partner with UMGC through a standard of Memorandum of Understanding, with a specific Statement of Work defined for each project.

  • The FORGE CyberAI Clinic will pair undergraduate and graduate learners in a supervised consulting environment with organizations.
  • Teams will deliver real cybersecurity and AI readiness assessments over a full 15-week term.
  • Learners will use the same industry-standard frameworks as federal agencies and professional consultants to deliver these engagements.
