University of Maryland Global Campus follows specific logo usage and brand guidelines.

Brand guidelines for University of Maryland Global Campus were developed to create a visual identity that reflects the prestige and reputation of the university. Marketing and communications professionals at UMGC led the development of these brand guidelines, which reflect the overall mission of the university and build on its reputation as a leader in online higher education for working adults. Maintaining the integrity of the university name, marks, and logos is essential to protecting its brand identity and reputation.

Standards and Usage

Below you’ll find guidelines on brand and logo standards and usage. We appreciate your support in protecting and promoting the UMGC brand.

  • Terms of Use: Read the official terms for the usage of UMGC logo and branding.  

Do Not Use . . .

Following the transition of the university name and logos, we ask that you refrain from using or discontinue use of:

  • "UMUC"
  • "University of Maryland University College"
  • Prior logos or marks pertaining to "University College" or "UMUC," including the swish, cupola, or three-line mark
