On September 17, we featured Samantha Howard, an advocate for higher education and Latino affairs, with a passion for uplifting underrepresented communities. A UMGC alumna, she overcame challenges as a first-generation college student was the Latino Affairs Liaison for Prince George’s County. Through her work in education and community engagement, she empowers individuals to embrace their cultural identities, pursue their goals, and create lasting impact.

Crevita Moody

On October 1, we featured Crevita Moody, the first African American woman Data Scientist with the FAA, Founder of Playhouse STEM, and a UMGC alumna. Crevita began her career as an actress, but found her passion working mathematically which led her to her position in the FAA. Crevita is extremely passionate about STEM as a whole, which inspired her to start working to educate toddlers about the evolving technology world.
