Abigail Compton

On November 19, we featured Abigail Compton, a caregiver for her husband who was injured while serving. She is a mother of four and a UMGC graduate. She and her husband run Compton Family Dairy and Compton Family Farm, where they’re committed to raising animals ethically and sustainably. Abigail was awarded the Pillars of Strength Scholarship, allowing her to complete her education while balancing caregiving, farming, and motherhood. Her story is rooted in resilience, compassion, and a deep respect for the land, her family, and the community she nourishes.

Danielle Rowell

On December 3, we featured Danielle Rowell, a Chief Information Security Officer with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Career and Leadership coach and UMGC alumna. Danielle began her career working in communications and event planning but quickly found her passion for working in cybersecurity. Danielle built her career from the ground up, all while raising her family. Her story is truly one of persistence!
