Lilah Blackstone is an adjunct professor at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), where she teaches courses in legal studies. She enjoys connecting real-world regulatory issues to classroom discussions, inspiring students to think critically about how law shapes—and is shaped by—rapidly evolving industries.

Blackstone is an attorney based in Washington, D.C., whose work focuses on financial regulation, consumer protection, and emerging financial technologies such as cryptocurrency and fintech innovation. She brings years of experience navigating the intersection of law, policy, and technology to help ensure that financial markets remain both fair and forward-looking.

Her professional interests include ethical financial regulation, equitable access to financial services, and mentoring the next generation of legal and financial professionals.
