Lauren Segura, PhD
Dean of the School of Integrative and Professional Studies
Lauren Segura, PhD, serves as dean of the School of Integrative and Professional Studies at UMGC. She has more than two decades of experience in higher education and workforce development, including her leadership role in workforce development initiatives at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and as program dean and associate vice provost for general education at Strayer University.
At UMGC, Segura oversees interdisciplinary programs designed to prepare students for careers in high-demand fields such as biological sciences, communications, criminal justice, education, and public safety. Segura has a PhD in English language and literature from the George Washington University.
