Ten professors were selected for this year’s Stanley J. Drazek Teaching Excellence Award, the highest recognition UMGC bestows on faculty members. Nominations come from students.
Because of Alexander Abel’s three-pronged “Sprouting Sustainability” project, he has become the first UMGC student named a Langenberg Legacy Fellow by the University System of Maryland.
For the last two semesters, student teams have provided expert advice to two Maryland companies, a medical company with tech-focused delivery systems for injectable medications and a specialized cosmetics firm revamping its brand identity.
David Leasure, Debra McLaughlin and Meenu Vikram have been awarded Elkins Fellowships for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning for the 2024-25 academic year.
