University of Maryland University College celebrates its 2014 stateside commencement with three ceremonies at the Comcast Center in College Park on May 17-18. Of the 9,461 stateside graduates in the Class of 2014, more than 3,100 will attend the three ceremonies.

University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) today celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Waldorf Center, one of the oldest regional higher education centers in the state and a critical resource that extends higher education opportunities for students throughout Southern Maryland.

One sentence, just 45 words in length, proclaims and promises the freedoms that define American democracy. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right to freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and the right to petition one’s government.
