Benefits Chamber employees, member businesses, and families
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) and the San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce have signed an agreement providing tuition discounts at UMGC to the employees of the Chamber and member businesses, as well as their spouses and dependents.
Under the new memorandum of understanding, signed Dec. 3, 2025, learners enrolling at UMGC under the agreement qualify for a tuition discount of up to 25 percent on most programs.
“The San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce is excited to partner with the University of Maryland Global Campus as we continue to seek opportunities for Chamber members and the community when it comes to educational growth and options” said Rick Wilson, San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO.
The chamber represents more than 600 member businesses throughout San Diego’s East County region, including the communities of El Cajon, Lemon Grove, Rancho San Diego, and Jamul.
UMGC first expanded to San Diego in 2013 and currently provides both classroom instruction and advising services to area learners at its regional location in the city’s Mission Valley East neighborhood. A leader in educating working adults and the largest provider of postsecondary education in Maryland, the university offers both online and hybrid courses spanning more than 135 degrees and certificates, with 175 classroom and service locations worldwide.
