Supporting the military-affiliated community through connection and access

Adelphi, Md. — April 15, 2026 — University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) will host its annual MilVet Net event, a no-cost networking and resource fair for servicemembers, veterans, spouses, caregivers and their families on Tuesday, May 5, from 4–7 p.m., at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Adelphi, Maryland. Admission and parking are free, and a complimentary buffet dinner will be provided.

MilVet Net offers attendees the opportunity to:

  • Meet with Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs), support services, nonprofits and employers to explore onsite resources and workshops.
  • Receive no-cost professional headshots provided by Laura Hatcher Photography (on site signup, first come, first served).
  • Visit the VA Claims Clinic, available 2-5 p.m. before and during MilVet Net, to receive personalized guidance on veterans' benefits from an on-site representative.(Interested attendees must complete a Claims Clinic Interest Form.)
  • Stay after the fair at 7–8 p.m. to join a Resume Writing Workshop in person, hosted by UMGC Career Services. (No separate registration is needed.)

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Keith “KC” Castille, CEO of C2H, LLC. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Castille leverages three decades of experience in the military and human resources fields to inform an interactive approach to leadership, motivation and organizational culture. His address begins at 6 p.m.

“Our annual MilVet Net event showcases UMGC’s more than 75-year commitment to military and veteran students and serves as a powerful reminder—for all of us—of how we can continue supporting our military-affiliated learners in their lives beyond the classroom and their UMGC education,” said Keith Hauk, vice president for UMGC’s Department of Stateside Military Operations. “We are so pleased to be able to connect our learners with a host of services and providers to assist them in reaching their personal and professional goals.”
