Adelphi, Md. (Aug. 7, 2025)— University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is excited to announce MilVet Net, a dynamic networking and support fair for military servicemembers, veterans, and their families. This event will bring together a wide array of national, regional, and local organizations offering services and resources tailored to the military connected community. Attendees can connect with veteran service organizations, explore entrepreneurship and caregiver support opportunities, and engage with potential employers.
MilVet Net will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the Chesapeake Ballroom at the College Park Marriott and Conference Center, 3501 University Blvd. East, Adelphi, Maryland.
A highlight of the event will be two workshops. Rochelle Hemingway, CEO of SLAY to Success and a U.S. Air Force veteran will host a personal branding session that aims to empower veterans to launch their own businesses by developing a powerful brand that reflects their unique voice, showcases their value, and converts increased visibility into tangible results.
The second workshop will be hosted by Arielle Jordan, Ph.D. LCPC, a veteran, author and trauma therapist who will discuss the Headstrong Project, a program that helps veterans overcome trauma, and MISSION Redefine, a program that helps to equip leaders and organizations with real strategies for resilience, mental wellness, and navigating grief and stress.
