Ceremonies Will Be Available Live Via Webcasts

ADELPHI, Md. (Dec. 2, 2019)—University of Maryland Global Campus will hold its first winter commencement ceremonies under its new name—University of Maryland University College became University of Maryland Global Campus on July 1—at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Maryland, on Saturday, Dec. 14.  Approximately 2,000 students are scheduled to graduate during two ceremonies held that day.

About UMGC Commencement Ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 14:

      • 9 a.m., Xfinity Center, College Park Keynote speaker: Wes Moore, chief executive officer at Robin Hood, social entrepreneur, combat veteran and author
      • 3:30 p.m., Xfinity Center, College Park Keynote speaker: Senator Paul Pinsky, Maryland General Assembly

  • Facts about the graduates eligible to participate in UMGC Winter Commencement ceremonies:

    UMGC also holds commencement ceremonies in the spring, including ceremonies for military personnel and their dependents at installations around the world (Tokyo, Okinawa, South Korea, Europe, and Guam).
