Submissions accepted through Oct.12 

Adelphi, Md. — Sept. 16, 2026 — The Arts Program at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is accepting entries for its fourth Maryland High School Juried Art Exhibition, which showcases outstanding student artwork from across the state. The submission deadline is Oct. 12, 2026. 

Maryland high school students are encouraged to submit original works in painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, fiber, glass, ceramics, wood, metal, photography, graphic design and mixed media. Art teachers will select the students to represent their schools, and students may submit their own entries. Each school may submit up to six works from as many as three student artists. There is no submission fee. 

Approximately 45 works will be selected for display in the UMGC Arts Program Gallery from Feb. 7 through April 18, 2027. An opening reception and awards presentation will be held Sunday, Feb. 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. Awards include a top prize of $5,000, with $1,500 presented to the student and $3,500 to their school’s arts program.
